ISPS Slovenia is part of the non-profit International Society for Psychological and Social approaches to Psychosis.

The society organizes educational and research activities for proffesionals using psychotherapeutic methods and the integrated treatment model for treating psychosis.

There is a long tradition of group work for the most vulnerable patients. Short and long term groups, Nordic walking group, group with therapy dog, inpatient groups of various forms.

Many therapists do individual work.

Patients with psychosis should be treated according to their individual needs and phase of their illness. Social, psychological and biological dimensions of the illness and the importance of each dimension for each individual patient should be considered.

Treatment requires the use of various therapeutic approaches and techniques, teamwork, and use of various levels of help in various environments. Nonpharmacological forms of treatment are very important and are based on a trusting therapeutic relationship.
